Parker

Parker is a small town sitting between Plano and Allen that doesn't look or feel like either of them. Most parcels are multi-acre. Custom homes are the rule. The semi-rural character here is the point, and the homeowners actively protect it. A landscape designed for a typical suburban lot is wrong for this place. Scale matters. The land matters.

On a multi-acre Parker property, the design conversation starts well before the pool and patio. Entry drive and gate. Motor court. How the house reads from the road at arrival. Where the maintained landscape transitions to natural edges and pasture. Privacy along the property lines. These are real design decisions that determine how the property reads as a whole, and getting them right requires looking at the full parcel from the first sketch.

Some Parker properties include equestrian facilities. When horses are part of the picture, drainage and site management around barn and pasture areas intersect with the residential landscape. We design those zones as part of the same project, not as separate programs to reconcile later.

The expansive clay soil throughout this part of Collin County moves with moisture cycles. On a large parcel, water moves further and faster across the site than on a suburban lot. Drainage infrastructure scaled to the full property is part of the scope on every Parker project we take on.
